The macroscopic theme of this orchestral piece, which is based on a true story that happened in Japan, is ‘dream’. In 1992, a Japanese man Yoshikazu Suzuki made a box that can be floated by balloons and flew himself up with it. He went missing after 2 days in the sky, never to be seen afterward. Some might find the story of Mr. Suzuki ridiculous, but I think the story of Mr. Suzuki can be an impressive food for thought.

This orchestral piece is a suite that has 5 miniature movements. The title of the first miniature is “Dreaming of Flight”. This movement roles as an overture of the whole piece, hence every musical content that will be included in this movement will be used in other movements in an expanded and variable manner. The following miniature is called “Toward the sky”. The main idea of this movement is ascending musical figures in many ways, which will include pitch, dynamics, et cetera. The third movement is titled “…The Morning Sun Is Beautiful”, which is known as a message that Mr. Suzuki actually sent to his family before he went missing. “SOS” is the title of the fourth. The main rhythmic idea of this movement is derived from the morse code of SOS (· · · — — — · · ·), and utilized throughout the movement in diverse forms. The last piece is called “Invisible Flight” which will act as an epilogue.
