IRCAM and the higher education institution for the performing arts Aubervilliers – La Courneuve – Seine-Saint-Denis – Île-de-France (known as “Pôle Sup’93”) have been running a programme for several years that allows students in the performing musician track (DNSPM) at Pôle Sup’93 to discover and perform mixed-media music works alongside IRCAM’s computer music designers and sound engineers. It explores the specific issues and challenges of performing mixed media music through several sessions: an introduction to Ircam, score analysis, rehearsals…
Since last year, in addition to this program, a new track focused on improvisation and electronic music has been offered to a small group of students. Both programs conclude with a public concert marking the culmination of the work carried out throughout the year.
